Have a special event coming up? Let me come to you and share what I know. Workshop runs about two hours long.

Private Dye Workshops cover:

• How to prep fiber for dye (scour & mordant)

• Overview of dye plants and what colors/patterns each one gives.

• How to bundle dye your fiber.

• How to wash and care for your silk.

Each person will receive:

• Hands-on instruction and demos.

• One 21x21 silk scarf.

• Dye flowers and dried dyestuff.

On the day of your event I will show up an hour and a half early to set up burners/steaming pots, table plastic, and dyestuff+silk. All I need is running water, electricity hook-up, and countertops and/or table space. Everything else will be provided by me.

Feel free to have fun with your event, supply snacks and light beverages for your private workshop. Bundle dyeing is fun and requires only a creative spirit.

Minimum of five people, maximum ten people.

$95 per person with $50 traveling fee.

If you’re just beginning or you’ve been learning for quite some time, I’m offering remote dye consultation appointments to troubleshoot and/or discuss your natural dye processes.

With this service we can discuss the following:

• Scour/Mordant approaches and recipes.

• Resists and Bundling Techniques.

• Dyestuffs and Dye Plants

• Product Sourcing & Dye Resources

$30 for thirty minutes

$50 for one hour

Once we both choose a time that works for us (different time-zones, etc…) a zoom link will be sent. Please come to the meeting with your questions prepared so we can make the most of our time together.

No refunds for missed and/or late meetings.

Dyes that won’t be discussed: Indigo Vat troubleshooting and/or Cochineal Dye Baths.
